Panama exceeds one million doses of vaccines applied against the new coronavirus

The Expanded Program on Immunization of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) revealed this Thursday, May 27, that this afternoon the figure of one million 001 thousand 690 doses of vaccines applied against the Covid-19 in all the country.

Likewise, the Minsa reported that the simultaneous vaccination process with AstraZeneca is being maintained according to the strategy of Operation PanavaC-19.

In Chiriquí, 2,015 doses of AstraZeneca have been applied until Thursday. At the same time, in that province, 8,741 of the Pfizer vaccine have been applied to those over 60 years of age, pregnant women and teachers of circuits 4-5 and 4-6.

While in Veraguas 3,175 doses of AstraZeneca were applied; 1,770 have been used in the vaccination post set up at the Azuero International Fair dose; and in the province of Coclé, 1,710 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine have been applied.

On the other hand, the Minsa recalled that tomorrow, Friday, the immunization process with AstraZeneca will begin in the Ngäbe Buglé region, to men from 30 years old and women over 50, who registered voluntarily, at 8: 0 am, at 4:00 pm

This May 28 the vaccination points will be located in the sectors of Kusapín, Bahía Azul, Zamboa, Pueblo Nuevo, Bisira, Kankintu, Hato July, Quebrada Loro, Emplanada de Chorcha and Lajero de Nomononi.

On Saturday 29 the vaccination process will be carried out in the communities of Hato Chami, Chichica, Lano Ñopo, Cerro Iglesias, Alto de Jesús, El Piro 1 and Cerro Pelado; While on Sunday it will only be held in the community of Santa Catalina, informed the Minsa.
