Last Friday, July 30 at 6:00 pm, the Alternatives Program held the talk “Genetics and breast cancer.” It had the participation of:
- Dr. Gustavo Gutiérrez Espeleta. Rector UCR, geneticist.
- Dr. Oldemar Bultrón Chaves. Medical Health Area of Greece.
In the talk, they talked about the genetics of breast cancer and it was explained about what breast cancer is, what characterizes it and what its causes are. The analysis was carried out, with both national and world statistics, the types of breasts and the symptoms of cancer were discussed, and the types of modifiable and non-modifiable risks were explained.
