Hip-hop musician Ozols’ seventh studio album “YAUDA” has been released. Performers Prusax, rolands če, xantikvariāts, Intars Busulis, NiklāvZ, as well as Una Daniela Aizgale, Annemarija Moiseja and Paula Saija also participate in the album, the musician informed.
The album was created together with “beatmakers” Niklavz and H. Stein from “Katapullt”. Mix and master were created by Arnis Račinskis and Andis Ansons in the studio “Mute”.
“The album is like an audio story about the main character of this record,” Nikija Yaudu “, who is trying to return to his previous life and regain what he lost,” reveals Ozols.
Already this weekend, three Ozols concerts are expected in Riga, Sports 2 quarter.
On August 21, 22 and 23, Ozols will present the new album “YAUDA” with a concert series “Sports Live”. Each concert is planned differently, and every evening new guest artists will join Ozols.
Performers and groups such as Prusax, Ji, Finķis & PRAGAII, “Tehnikums”, Eliots, as well as Melikols will take part in the concerts.

About the musician
Ģirts Rozentāls or Ozols is one of the founders of Latvian hip-hop music. The musical began in 1996 as part of the groups Fact and Rool Makaz. He started his solo career at the beginning of the last decade with his debut single “Neko 2005” (2000), followed by the album “Dienņa un mestestība” (2001), “Augstāk, Tālāk, Stiprāk” (2002), “Dūzis” (2003) and the album “Independence” released in 2009. After a break of several years in 2015, Ozols returned to Latvian music with his fifth studio album “Back to the Future”. During his creative work, Ozols performed at the Song Festival with the joint choir, visited the former president Vaira Vike-Freiberga with the association “Austrumubloks”, achieved the status of a Golden Disc with the album “Respect and Love”, as well as “Higher, further, stronger” and received five times Latvian Music Record of the Year Award.
