When addressing our declaration on Proclamation Monument, Central Jakarta, Gatot said, regarding the country’s current fiscal condition, we are all aware that we need a financial injection into the country to stimulate recovery to the business world, at least to prevent the business world from dying.
“But we realize that printing money will eat up the value of the rupiah. Increasing debt will increase the fiscal burden due to interest and installments. Then, how do you do it without increasing debt and printing money, we can live, be able to finance the country’s economic stimulus? Our advice needs to be discussed, The government issues e-Rupiah. It can only be transactions between e-Rupiah. Thus, we all have practiced it on toll roads. This is a little advice, “said Gatot.

The former TNI commander previously said that Indonesia is a rich, fertile, prosperous country. The people are also tolerant, compassionate, and full of the spirit of mutual cooperation.
“Indonesia has all the potential to become a developed country. That means, Indonesia will be able to escape all its difficulties,” said Gatot.

Gatot also conveyed opportunities for Indonesia. The population has 260 million people which is a very strong domestic market. Natural resources are used to meet domestic needs and processed for added value. Taxation must be fair. “The bigger the profit, the higher the additional for the country,” said Gatot who was flanked by the leader of the 1926 Nahdlatul Ulama Khittah Committee Prof. Rochmat Wahab and former General Chair of PP Muhammadiyah Prof. Din Syamsuddin.
