Closed shops

At the end of October the government tightened measures again. One of the new regulations is the closed shops on Sundays, with the exception of pharmacies, gas stations and some others. For the first time, the shops are closed on Sunday, November 1.

If the epidemiological situation does not improve significantly, this regulation will apply at least until 20 November. This means that the shops will be closed at least three times on Sunday.

Renewal of installments

On Saturday, October 31 the installment moratorium is over, ie the extraordinary postponement of loan and mortgage repayments due to the coronavirus epidemic. From November 1, people will have to repay their loans again.

Special schools

From Monday, November 2 special schools will be closed. Handicapped children will thus join all other pupils and students (with the exception of preschoolers) and will have distance learning. The government does not yet know when the children could return to the benches. It all depends on the development of the epidemic.

End of emergency

And if the epidemiological situation is more favorable, we will see the end of the emergency in November. He was on Friday, October 30 extended on the basis of a vote in the Chamber of Deputies until 20 November.

Canceled trains

From November 4, Czech Railways will cancel some other long-distance trains due to the ongoing epidemic. This will mainly affect connections from Prague to northern Bohemia and Germany, as well as express trains to southern Bohemia.

From 1 November, drivers are required to wear winter tires on their cars if there is a continuous layer of snow on the roads.
