The Baltic financial technology or fintech start-up “Orion Leasing” is starting operations in the Latvian market, offering a new business financing solution – instant leasing.
The startup offers an innovative automated solution for companies’ e-commerce platforms, which is already available on iDeal.lv and Capital.lv. Although instant leasing has long been available for private purchases, companies have until now not had such a solution, as the decision to enter into a contract was delayed by complex risk assessment procedures that were not digitized.
Orion Leasing has developed an innovative and automated leasing solution that will allow companies to finance their corporate partners in just a few minutes, significantly reducing the usual leasing process that previously took several hours or even days. Currently, the startup has already attracted two partners in Latvia – “iDeal”, the official distributor of Apple products, and AS “Capital”, which is a full-service IT company for business customers.
“Although we have been operating in Latvia for a little more than a month, our partners are already observing an increase in sales thanks to the automated solution and receiving positive feedback from customers. Until now, automated leasing solutions intended for companies have not yet been developed at the same level as solutions for private individuals.” says Laimonas Belickas, founder and chairman of the board of “Orion Leasing”.
Orion Leasing is a Baltic financial technology startup founded in 2021 by a team of leasing professionals who previously worked at UniCredit Leasing in Lithuania.
With the “Orion Leasing” solution, goods can be purchased by both large and small companies. Although the company’s first partners in Latvia are companies from the IT sector, this solution is also relevant for traders of construction, garden, agriculture or any other goods. The automated leasing solution was first introduced this spring in Lithuania, it allowed companies to obtain financing or leasing in less than a minute.
The first in Lithuania to use this solution were “iDeal” retail stores selling “Apple” devices. In just a few months after the implementation of the solution, the value of the financed equipment reached one million euros.
