“Opposition Leader Alleges 100 Crore Corruption in Kochi Road Camera Project Involving CM’s Son-in-Law’s Father”

Kochi ∙ Opposition leader V.D.Sathisan said there was a corruption of 100 crores in the road camera project. Satheesan said that Prakash Babu, the father-in-law of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s son, had attended the consortium meeting. Satheesan said that if an investigation is conducted in this regard, evidence will be provided. In a press conference held in Kochi, Satheesan alleged that Bhima had implemented the project with a total cost of less than 50 crores.

“Cheap cameras and accessories were bought at huge prices. SRIT, which is part of the project, received 6 percent commission. Troyes Company had informed that the project can be implemented for 57 crores. A proposal of 157 crores was given for goods worth 45 crores. A strange scam has taken place in the camera project.

The Alhind company had informed the government about the fraud much earlier. The Industry Secretary was informed about this on October 23, 2021. Alhind report was given when P. Rajiv was the Minister of Industry. Alhind stated that he is withdrawing from the project. Prakash Babu, father-in-law of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s son, has attended the consortium meeting.

This consortium is also part of the agreement between SRIT and Keltron. But one company in the consortium is withdrawing after raising serious allegations.
