Opinions and Insights on the Election Campaign: A Critical Look at the Democratic Candidate and Suggestions for Improvement

FACTS posts opinions with a wide range of viewpoints to encourage constructive debate.

I’ll try to make another, genuinely friendly attempt to be helpful. This is what PR expert Diana Damyanova commented on Facebook.

Then I will remain silent and remain a mute observer of this suicidal behavior.

And with one proviso. I will vote for Terziev, I do not believe that any other party will be able to offer me an alternative.

I, as a true dark blue person, also voted for Maya Manolova, so it’s not so scary.

I’m going to turn off the TV for three months, reduce the information to practically zero, and take my vote. Except that it seems to me that the ordinary Sofian will not do exactly that, and only my voice will not reach.

So, trying to be helpful:

1. Terziev was on Slaveykov Square that day. 20 meters away from a real, absurd kitsch that the fandom culture has been playing out for many years in this long-suffering square.

Trucks appear on it every Thursday night and “spread out” the so-called Art bazaar – metal rods tied at the bottom for 20 kg. concrete blocks so that they don’t fall, and above them, high, high, some iron constructions, built at another time by this same Fandakova, to house books. These tons of metal stand daily in the square, without any purpose, even on Mondays, when the kitsch called the art bazaar leaves, again with trucks. I don’t even want to think about how much it costs the citizen to build this Patyomkin village and lift it every week, but I know that someone is getting very rich from this.

Well, Terziev was there.

Then – not a word. There are no words for the people who were there and told their pains or those asking questions. There are no intentions of the future mayor.

No, paid Facebook posts let us know where the next destination is, from which there will also be no feedback to the candidate.

That’s not how it’s done, even in business you know we make short, concise stories in meetings.

And in politics, this is mandatory.

Now how do I know if my chosen one will remove this kitsch, or on the contrary, will continue this terrible thieving and tasteless trend.

For those living at the site of this event, nothing. We will guess whether the harassment of fandakova will be stopped or…

2. The crisis campaign, he was not going to receive a single lev salary, is really, really insane.

Do whatever you want with your salary – give it to your favorite dog shelter, raise talented little gypsies, donate it to the city library, whatever you want. That’s your job.

But the institution “I work” means I also get paid for it. The rest is nonsense and no, it’s not doing you any favors… It’s making you look ridiculous, though that’s hardly the point.

Seeing the “donate” button on the front page of your campaign is really, really annoying.

Because among the many sponsorships you have made for various, including political causes, paying for your campaign is something very meaningful and reasonable.

Don’t make me be a donor to a millionaire who will work without a salary. Somehow, when we translate this sentence into a foreign language… and it loses its meaning.

3. Spend the necessary hours to “prepare” the Democratic candidate for television interviews. No, not to make him “supports” according to Sevda, not to give him three lead sentences, but just to make him feel comfortable in the studio and give his best.

Because that’s how the citizen will decide whether to “buy”, as you’ve been saying lately, this candidate for mayor.

These are not unimportant things, on the contrary! They are the most important. You know about product presentation, don’t you?

Well then, let me tell you. The Terziev product is poorly presented and thus may or may not be able to be purchased. Even in the absence of a clear alternative, which God willing will happen.

There’s more, but I’ll stop there. It can be seen that he is a decent, respectable and intelligent person. Talk about specific things, collect specific information and tell how you will act on it. There’s time to change all that, and that’s why I’m giving you my free advice. And I will be silent!

And I will vote for Terziev! With all my heart and soul… and slightly with my eyes closed.

It won’t be my first time. The democratic forces seem to test my patience on a regular basis, but I am strong… and I will endure.

And this time!
