Lienz, Salzburg: Borg students succeed in cross-country running

The federal school cross-country championships took place in Salzburg last week. The five students of Sport-Borg Lienz, Hanna Lamprecht, Pia Kollreider, Carolin Theurl, Carina Kollreider and Sarah Ausserlechner, were able to qualify for this and represented the state of Tyrol in the category “Girls’ high school”.

The Borg students had to complete three laps with their 40 competitors over a running distance of 1100 metres. Some key points, such as lying tree trunks, had to be overcome. In the end it wasn’t the time that counted, but the placement. The four best finishes for each team have been added together. As a result, the team achieved a total of 74 points and thus took 5th place.
