This week’s poll shows no changes of political preference. Therefore without further comment the table and the graph.
The questions in relation to the Corona crisis also show this week that there is fairly strong support for the government’s approach. Few shifts are noticeable. We will discuss two aspects: the pace of the exit and the chance of becoming infected and dying from it.
Last week, 49% thought the pace of the announced exit was good, 20% too slow and 27% too fast. We are seeing some shift this week. Now 22% think it is going too slow (was 20%) and 23% too fast (was 27%), 51% think the pace is good (was 49%).
If we draw comparisons with 2 months ago with regard to the fear of the virus, we see that at the end of March 38% considered the chance to be infected greater than 50%. That is now 21% (9% already think they are infected).
Of all Dutch people, 42% are now afraid of dying from the virus if they become infected. That has not changed much since late March. Most afraid are women, the elderly and people with a low education, the elderly thought the chance of becoming infected the lowest (12%)
