Michael Bautista (32) may have imagined this evening in New York differently. After visiting a club with friends, he was kidnapped and forced into a curious night of partying together. At the end of this involuntary adventure, Bautista was nearly $6,000 poorer than before. The two even went to a strip club together.
Kidnapper was waiting for his victim in the backseat of the taxi
As the ” New York Post ” reported, the planned party evening for Bautista, who works as an ophthalmologist in the city, initially ended in a taxi, which did not take him home. Instead, his kidnapper Anthony Benjamin (42) lurked in the back seat. Together, he and the cab driver first arranged for Benjamin and Bautista to end up at a party in Manhattan before continuing on to the Bronx in the doctor’s car.
There, Bautista apparently had to pull out his credit card again and again and finance the evening as his companion spoke of body bags and flying bullets. He said to him, “If you do anything funny, I’ll kill you.” So Bautista was forced to withdraw $1,000 from multiple ATMs and give it to Benjamin’s friends.

Doctor pays for himself and his kidnapper to go to a strip club
They then went to several restaurants, including Mario’s Pizzeria, Hollywood Delights, and Freckles Juice. Here the doctor again paid the bills totaling almost $600. Afterwards we also went to a strip club for $1,100. And they didn’t even miss a shoe shop. At “Foot Locker” the kidnapper shopped at his victim’s expense for $1,700.
According to the New York Post, the responsible police said: “Bautista stated that throughout the incident he agreed to what Benjamin wanted from him”. He didn’t want to provoke his kidnapper.

But how was the doctor finally able to extricate himself from his predicament? He told his captor that he was on call and that his colleagues would become suspicious if he didn’t show up for duty. Finally they drove together to Norwalk Hospital. Benjamin waited in the car while Bautista called the hospital security guards, who sealed off the building. Finally, the police were able to collect the celebratory kidnapper.
