Operation “Muralla” leaves 65 captures and Q79 thousand seized

The capture of 65 people and the seizure of more than Q79 thousand quetzales is the result of the “Muralla” operation. This plan carried out by Public Ministry (MP).

“Likewise, Q79,284 in cash, 31 mobile phones, 2 revolvers, 3 SIM cards, 1 USB, 3 firearm cartridges were seized. 40 ammunition was also seized that will be analyzed to strengthen ongoing investigations,” details the official report.

Among the operations, the MP highlights the capture of Valentín César Augusto de León, an agent of the National Civil Police. He is charged with illicit association and conspiracy to commit the crime of kidnapping or kidnapping.
