OnePlus Health in the Play Store: details on fitness band and smartwatch

OnePlus has made no secret of wanting to start exploring the wearable market over the course of the year and further confirmation comes publication in the OnePlus Health Play Store, the companion app dedicated to the management of wearable devices of the Chinese manufacturer. The app is full of useful details: some immediately visible, others emerged by analyzing the code.

The immediately evident functions are those typical of an app designed to be combined with a fitness band or a smartwatch: it is possible to analyze the data recorded by the device relating to thephysical activity, al heartbeat and al sleep, you can keep track of the exercises and the path taken, manage the notifications and the incoming calls.

A couple of attached screenshots in the application tab clearly show one fitness band with rectangular display which closely recalls the one depicted in first leaked image and partially shown in the official OnePlus teaser.

XDA colleagues explored the application code and revealed other details: first one series of animated gifs that show how the user interface works

The latter confirms feature support for the detection of the level of oxygen in the blood.

From the apk code the numerous wathfaces designed for the fitness band:

OnePlus confirmed on January 4th that the fintess band will arrive shortly – the unofficial date is that of January 11th. Longer times are expected for the smartwatch – it could debut along with the smartphones of the OnePlus 9 range expected for spring. According to rumors, the fitness band will arrive on the market with a very low price (about 30 euros) and with the following data sheet:

  • Display da 1,1″ touch AMOLED
  • Sensor for 24/7 heart rate and SpO2 level detection
  • Support for sleep monitoring function
  • Autonomy: 14 days
  • 13 exercise modes
  • Liquid resistance according to IP68 standard
