A few years ago, OnePlus stood for an incredibly low price and absolutely high-end hardware. But this situation has shifted somewhat with the latest OnePlus 8 models. After all, with the OnePlus Nord, the Chinese manufacturer has now put together a strong package of price and performance. But it doesn’t seem to stop there. Allegedly, another model, codenamed Clover, is in development that will lower the price even further.
OnePlus Clover: Snapdragon 460 and huge 6,000 mAh battery?
The leak comes from the mostly very well-informed website Android Central, according to whose information OnePlus is planning an entry-level model at a low price. This is currently being developed under the code name OnePlus Clover and could perhaps even come onto the market this year. A price of around 200 US dollars is targeted, which corresponds to around 170 euros or 180 Swiss francs. That would be extremely cheap!
The hardware is probably not neglected. The AMOLED display used should measure over 6.5 inches and offer a FullHD + resolution. The processor “only” a Snapdragon 460 with 5G modem is used, but it is supported by 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Those are strong values for such a low price. However, the assumed battery capacity is particularly striking: a very high 6,000 mAh should be used here. Considering the hardware, this should contribute to an enormous runtime. However, savings are made with the cameras: 13 MP on the back and 2 MP in the front are allegedly available here.

It is not clear whether the OnePlus Clover will actually appear this year. A presentation in the first quarter of 2021 would also be possible. So far, OnePlus has always presented its smartphones in the direction of summer and autumn (T models). Devices for the end or the beginning of a new year would therefore not be unlikely.
