Even the most legendary concerts had not achieved such a performance. Dozens of stars had gathered for a remote charity concert, a period of confinement required, in the night from Saturday to Sunday. Initiated by Lady Gaga, the event broadcast live worldwide has allowed raise some 35 million dollars (more than 32 million euros) to help different organizations involved in the management of the crisis coronavirus.
The concert was an opportunity to discover the stars playing from home, in the privacy of their living rooms, like many musicians who have started giving private concerts on social networks, from their kitchen or their terrace.
Many celebrities had answered the call, including Taylor Swift, the Rolling Stones, Billie Eilish, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Paul McCartney or even Stevie Wonder. Lasting more than 8 hours, the concert will undoubtedly go down in history.
Initiated by singer Lady Gaga, the virtual world concert One World: Together At Home (“A world, together at home”), supported by the Global Citizen movement in collaboration with the World Health Organization, wanted to be a “rallying cry” in favor of caregivers and local NGOs.
