One of the last stars of the so-called golden age of Hollywood, the United States, has died

At the age of 96, actress Angela Lansbury died, gaining worldwide fame with the lead role (of crime writer Jessica Fletcher) in the “Scriped Murder” series.

“Angela Lansbury’s children are saddened to announce that their mother died peacefully in her sleep in her Los Angeles home, just five days before her 97th birthday,” her family said in a statement.

Lansbury was in 1925 in London in the family of an actress and a merchant. Her career spans nearly 8 decades and includes over 100 roles in film and on stage.
