On Sunday, 87 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Nouvelle-Aquitaine by the Regional Health Agency.
This brings the number of confirmed cases in the region to 593, i.e. ten in Charente, 12 in Creuse, 20 in Landes, 11 in Deux-Sèvres, 49 in Charente-Maritime, 13 in Dordogne, 65 in Lot-et -Garonne, 53 in Vienne, 23 in Corrèze, 106 in Gironde, 41 in Pyrénées-Atlantiques and 21 in Haute-Vienne. According to the latest ARS assessment and data from Public health France, 123 confirmed cases are “in the process of being attached to their domiciliation department or are people living outside the region”.

Authorities regret to deplore a new coronavirus-related death on Sunday in Deux-Sèvres, bringing the total number of deaths in Nouvelle-Aquitaine to eight due to Covid-19 since the start of the epidemic. She is an 86-year-old woman who was treated in hospital for a serious terminal illness. The worsening of her clinical picture necessitated an emergency transfer to the Niort Hospital Center where she died.
