[아시아경제 조유진 기자] As the Myanmar anti-coup protests turn into a month, the number of people arrested for violent suppression by the military surged to 770. On the 27th, it was reported that at least one person was injured when the military police fired again at the protesters. As the protest leadership announced the second general strike, concerns over bloodshed caused by the confrontation of the Gangdae River are growing.

The British Guardian said a woman in the protests was shot when Myanmar police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at protesters. The woman, who participated in a protest in the town of Monyua in central Myanmar, was injured after being shot by a police officer who tried to suppress it.

Prior to this, several local media reported that the woman died, but an ambulance service company official reported that the woman is currently being treated at the hospital and there is no harm in her life.

The Guardian cited local media reports and said that from this morning, protesters were beaten or aimed at protesters in various places across the country, including Yangon, the largest city, and Mandalay, the second city.

After the coup on the 1st, at least 4 civilians were shot and killed by the military and police, and one woman who participated in the protests in the capital city of Naepido on the 9th was shot and died within 10 days, and on the 20th, due to indiscriminate shooting in Mandalay. At least two people and one vigilante in their 30s died in Yangon.

In addition, it was reported that a large number of reporters were arrested in the process of carrying out a massive arrest operation at the site of the protest. In the Mongolian region, a number of reporters who relayed the situation on social media were arrested, according to the local media, Myanmar Now.

AFP news agency reported that three reporters, including Myanmar Now reporter, were arrested in Yangon. The police arrested and released a Japanese freelance reporter in downtown Yangon the day before.

The Myanmar Political Offender Support Association (AAPP) said on the 1st that at least 771 people have been arrested since the coup, of which 82 have been released.
