One person has been found dead, four have been sent to hospital and five are in the emergency room after a block fire on Thursday night.

The eastern police district and the fire service moved out to a fire in a block in Sarpsborg on Thursday night. Residents were evacuated, some with ladders.
On Friday night, the police confirm that one person has been found dead.
– Now the initial phases are done away with. The fire has been extinguished, and the fire service is working inside the building and get an overview of who has been on the scene, says Terje Skaftnes, operations manager in the Eastern police district to VG.
– There is one person who has died, five are in the emergency room and four in hospital.
The four who have been sent to hospital have been sent to Østfold Hospital in Kalnes.
The police further state that it is too early to say anything about the course of the fire, but that forensic technicians have been notified and are on their way to the scene.
According to the police, they are not entirely sure how many people live in the block, writes NTB.
According to Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad fire crews from Fredrikstad also participated in the extinguishing work.
