The group of ex-Freiburg women at Bayern Munich will be expanded to include a prominent name in the coming season: National player Klara Bühl will move from Breisgau to the Bavarian capital, according to kicker information.

Bühl is undoubtedly one of the greatest German talents. The 19-year-old has already played eleven international matches, scoring seven goals. When the German team played in front of 77,000 spectators in November at Wembley Stadium, Bühl even scored the winning goal. In June last year, the fast offensive player was part of the German national team at the World Cup in France and impressed with her ease and speed in her missions.

The high school graduate has been playing at SC Freiburg since 2013 and has gone through all of the DFB’s youth teams. In 2016 she was awarded the U 17 European Champion and in 2019 the Fritz Walter Gold Medal. Bühl was on the wish list of many clubs – she opted for Bayern, where Lina Magull, Laura Benkarth, Carolin Simon, Giulia Gwinn and Melanie Leupolz (changes to Chelsea) currently include five former SC Freiburg players . Trainer Jens Scheuer also moved from Freiburg to Munich last year, Bühl is now following him a year later.
“Klara is one of the greatest German talents, she has proven that,” says Bianca Rech, sports director at the runner-up and current second place in the table.
