Omer Adam in Yarkon Park: Tel Aviv residents complained about unusual noise

Omer Adam’s appearance last night (Tuesday) at Yarkon Park, which came after quite a few challenges and the threat of cancellation hovering above, provided moments of vital comfort. However, along with the elaborate production, the fact that Adam was able to excite and delight tens of thousands who came to the concert (and more will come to the concerts tomorrow and next week) – many Tel Aviv residents complained that the volume of the concert was too high and that Omar’s voice could be heard even far from the park.

“Wow, what fun I came to Omar Adam’s concert! No, wait, it turns out she came to my house. Through walls and closed windows, at a level that the pipes shake. I’m not even close to Park Yarkon,” wrote a resident of Tel Aviv in a post on Facebook. “I live very far from Park Yarkon, near Derech HaShalom, and I listen to Omer Adam. I never thought I would hear a performance from here and so loud. I don’t think it’s one of the neighbors,” added another.

Other residents complained: “It’s crazy, you can hear it loud. I only just realized what I’m hearing”, “I heard from Givatayim!”, “I live close to the park and I feel like I’m the soundman”, then speculated that maybe the strong wind felt last night led to the unusual phenomenon.

Magni Yehoshua responded: “Omer Adam’s performance ended by 11:00 p.m. as required by law, and did not exceed the decibel level that characterizes performances in the park. We apologize for the inconvenience caused to the neighboring neighborhoods by live performances in the park.”
