JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Industry has released a list of cars that are entitled to receive Sales Tax incentives on Luxury Goods (PPnBM) this year.
Valid until September 2022, there are a total of 16 products on the list, namely different types of cars low cost green car (LCGC). Meanwhile, for cars priced from Rp 200 million to Rp 250 million with an engine capacity of under 1,500 cc, it is valid during the first quarter of this year.
All products automotive who receive related incentives have local purchase value of components (local purchase) a minimum of 80 percent. So, more selective than the previous year.

The list is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Industry Number 852 of 2022 concerning Motor vehicle with PPnBM on the delivery of taxable goods classified as luxury borne by the government for Fiscal Year 2022.
The design of this incentive is within the framework of Government Regulation (PP) 74/2021 which provides lower PPnBM rates for motor vehicle with lower greenhouse gas emissions.
The following is a list of LCGC cars that are accepted as recipients PPnBM incentives 2022:
1. Daihatsu Ayla with 85 percent local purchase
2. Daihatsu Sigra with 85 percent local purchase
3. Toyota Agya with 85 percent local purchases
4. Toyota Calya with 85 percent local purchases
5. Honda Brio with local purchases 91 percent

For the LCGC segment, incentives are given in several stages. First, for the first quarter, a 100 percent discount on PPnBM rates is given.
Then, it decreased to 66.66 percent in the second quarter, and further by 33.33 percent in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, for cars with engine capacities of up to 1,500 cc with prices between Rp. 200 million – Rp. 250 million, those receiving PPnBM 2022 incentives are as follows:

1. Daihatsu Xenia with 85.7 percent local purchases
2. Toyota Avanza with 82.4 percent local purchases
3. Daihatsu Terios with local purchases 88.4 percent
4. Daihatsu Rocky with 80 percent local purchase
5. Toyota Raize with 80 percent local purchases
6. Mitsubishi Xpander with local purchases 80.4 percent
7. Honda Brio RS with 96 percent local purchases
8. Honda Mobilio with 85 percent local purchases
9. Suzuki Ertiga with 86.4 percent local purchases
10. Suzuki Ertiga Sport with 86.4 percent local purchases
11. Suzuki XL7 with 85.2 percent local purchases

The PPnBM discount in this segment is 50 percent in the first quarter of 2022, so consumers only pay the PPnBM rate of 7.5 percent. After that, no more similar incentives or using the normal price.
