A fire at an egg processor in Raalte leads to odor nuisance in the area. The fire brigade advises residents who suffer from the odor to keep windows and doors closed.
The fire broke out around 1.30 am in the egg processor’s drying facility, where egg yolks are dried into powder. The fire department has closed that part of the company. The fire was under control by 7:30 a.m RTV East.
Smoke is still billowing over an adjacent residential area. That leads to nuisance, because it smells like eggs. The smoke is now decreasing, says a spokesperson for the IJsselland Safety Region.
