After being on loan at Arsenal in the second half of last season, Martin Odegaard revealed that Real Madrid had asked him to come forward for the pre-season.
“I’m a Real Madrid player and I have to return to the club in a week and a half. Real Madrid were very clear: they want me back. I will travel as soon as training starts,” he told TV2, a Norwegian television channel.
Despite arriving in the Spanish capital in 2014, the creative midfielder is slow to assert himself in the merengue squad.
“My dream has always been to play for Real Madrid. I’ve been at the club for more than six years and that has always been my goal», he stressed.
Recall that 22-year-old Odegaard played 20 games in his six months with Arsenal.
