Objectives of the “Living Independently” initiative disclosed by the support of the “Sanad Mohammed bin Salman” program

Al-Marsad Newspaper – SPA: The “Sanad Mohammed bin Salman” program, within the framework of its support for non-profit social initiatives, announced its support for the “Living Independently” initiative, which aims to support and empower people with various disabilities and the elderly in all regions of the Kingdom, in cooperation with the “Tawasul” charity.

This support comes within the framework of the pioneering societal role of the “Sanad Mohammed bin Salman” program, and its continuous endeavor to find and meet the needs of the most needy groups in society, especially those with special needs.

The Living Independently initiative aims to support and support 210 beneficiaries with various disabilities and the elderly to achieve independence in carrying out their daily work, by providing the beneficiaries with the skills and techniques necessary to communicate, work and learn as an initial stage to enable them to live independently.

The year-long initiative focuses on 4 main technical empowerment programs: The Communication Program, the Education Program, the Work Program, and the Elderly Program, which aim to support specific groups of beneficiaries most in need, namely; People with multiple sclerosis, quadriplegics, stroke survivors, people with motor and visual impairments, people with Down syndrome, people with autism spectrum disorder, Alzheimer’s patients and the elderly are among the neediest.

The four programs will provide specialized assessment services, by providing speech, functional and social specialists, and will also provide highly efficient technical services, including (smart glasses, motion sensor, position fixation on the chair, chair, holder for the device, communication device, software licenses, mobile table and communication devices). Tracking devices, software to facilitate mobile use and communication, software licenses. The program also provides a training program for several training sessions on supporting devices and developing communication capabilities.

It is noteworthy that the “Sanad Mohammed bin Salman” program works to support non-profit social initiatives concerned with empowering citizens, male and female, and contributing to achieving the goals they seek in various fields of life.
