Youssef Ibrahim “Obama” Zamalek club player supported the decision of Mortada Mansour, president of the White Castle, regarding his refusal to complete the Egyptian We Season (2019-2020) competition.
“Obama,” said in statements on the “Zamalek” screen today, Saturday: “Currently we are living in difficult conditions after three months because of the Corona virus epidemic, we respect the state’s decisions, but we have reservations.”
He added: “We hope, of course, that we will return to training, but we have a view on completing the competition. I see that things are difficult because of the number of matches remaining.”
He continued: “We have 17 games to finish the league, when and where will we play this number of matches? Egypt clubs want to postpone.”
On the decision of Zamalek president Mortada Mansour regarding the league competition, he revealed: “We must have a position and of course we support the decisions of Zamalek president Mortada Mansour because agreeing on one decision in the club made us achieve successes. Mortada’s decision regarding not completing the league is correct.”
Mortada Mansour had held a session with all the members of the Zamalek Club board of directors, so that the white administration agreed not to complete the league after an official statement was issued.
It is worth noting that the Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi gave the green light to the Egyptian Football Association to resume the We Egyptian Championship again after a three-month hiatus due to the epidemic of the new Corona virus (Covid 19).
