jpnn.com, JAKARTA – Head of the Covid-19 Handling Task Force Health Management Akmal Taher revealed that his party was not consulted about the plan of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to implement strict Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) again starting next Monday (14/9).
According to Akmal, the DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) had only coordinated with the Covid-19 Task Force some time after Anies announced the plan to implement the strict PSBB on Wednesday (9/8).
“After that (announcement) there was (coordination, red), but not before that,” said Akmal in an online discussion held by a radio station in Jakarta, Saturday (12/9).
Akmal added, some time after Anies announced the plan to implement the strict PSBB, the Covid-19 Task Force received notification from the DKI Provincial Government.
“Soon after, it was not until the hour,” continued Akmal.
According to Akmal, the notification went directly to the Head of the Covid-19 Task Force, Lieutenant General Doni Monardo.
“Not to me, but directly to the head. As far as I know it is like that,” said Akmal.
However, Akmal hopes that the same thing will not happen again. “Maybe in the future something like this would be much better if it could be avoided,” he said.
