Olivier Castelnaud, principal brigadier-chef, took up his duties in early February in the town. He presented himself to the city council on February 24. He leads a team made up of two municipal police officers (including himself) and two ASVP (public highway surveillance agents). It also organizes surveillance and security patrols in Sorède (3,300 inhabitants). A rise in power within the municipal police takes place in summer with the help of two security guards who patrol at night. Olivier was born in Paris, 45 years ago, and he is the father of a girl. He was stationed in Aude, Gironde and Var and wanted to manage a team in a small village, hence his choice of Sorède. He also has 7 to 8 years of experience in video protection which will facilitate the establishment of a file with the gendarmerie and the prefecture. In one month, he was able to form a good impression of the village and of the warm welcome from the inhabitants and traders.
