Credit card bills were evidence against the nurse, who made purchases while the victim was in the hospital. The discovery was made by the patient's daughter.

The 43-year-old nurse now faces charges of theft and criminal possession of stolen goods, according to New York police.
The hospital also made it known, through a press release to the local press, that nurse Danielle Conti, hired in 2007, has been temporarily suspended and faces termination of the contract on criminal charges.
