Now games can become more accessible: EA issues patents

On Saturday, game developer EA released multiple patents in its Accessibility patent pledge (App) program, which is a promise to make accessibility technologies more accessible, to write Feber.se.

The hope is that more games can be made available when the technologies are open for use by all game publishers, so that more people with, for example, hearing impairment, vision impairment, color blindness or mobility issues can take part in more games.

One of the patents uses haptic feedback in the form of vibrations to help navigate, for example, a menu structure. Other technologies allow you to use your voice to navigate and interact with on-screen content.

A list of patents is available at IT’S AT.
