Number one in the world, Novak Djokovic, and his wife Jelena became infected during the series of exhibition competitions under the name Adria Tour, which Djokovic recently organized in the Serbian capital Belgrade and the Croatian Zadar.
The games were canceled after several players and staff members tested positive for COVID-19. Djokovic and his wife tested positive on June 23, a day after players like Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (ATP 19), Croatian Borna Coric (ATP 33) and Serb Viktor Troicki (ATP 184) announced their positive results.
Novak and Jelena Djokovic never had symptoms and have been strictly quarantined for the past ten days. The international tennis season – for both men and women – will restart in August.
