World tennis number one Novak Djoković donated over 40,000 euros (more than a million crowns) to the Serbian city of Novi Pazar to fight coronavirus. The TV station SportKlub informed about it. The city in the southwest of the country has declared a state of emergency in recent days due to poor health.
In recent days, Djokovic has faced criticism for his exhibition series Adria Tour, in which he and several players became infected with coronavirus. The participants of the tournaments in Belgrade and Zadar did not observe the basic hygienic measures, they played in front of the full auditorium and the tennis players did not observe distances or wear veils during the accompanying events.
