We start with the movie “Nabil Gemayel, Plastic Doctor,” which is your first work that brings you together with actor Mohamed Henedy. Tell us about the scenes of the movie, and how did you find participating in a comedy?
Indeed, it is my first participation with the actor Mohamed Henedy, whom I enjoyed very much in the atmosphere of working with him. The film is also a new and different experience for me, and through it I presented the character of a plastic surgeon in a light comedic manner who falls into competition with her colleague, and this results in comedic situations, and the film tries to present… Highlighting the widespread prevalence of plastic surgery, even if it is unnecessary.
I would like to say that comedy work is not as easy as some people think. It poses a challenge for the actor, and in my choices I always look for roles that motivate me to put in more effort.
The film achieved great resonance across social media platforms and social media. Did you follow that?
Of course, I like to follow the audience’s reaction in general, whether on social media or on platforms, because I am interested in knowing people’s opinions, and I felt real happiness, especially since the reaction was satisfactory with the effort, cooperation, and diligence to provide the best possible and befitting of the audience.
You are keen to be present in cinema and you also do not miss the small screen. Which one do you prefer?
Cinema was the beginning of my acting career, but I cannot deny that a large part of my fame came thanks to soap operas. Therefore, I love both because each of them has its charm, and this is what makes me always keen to be in both.
Recently, platforms have provided an opportunity to compete with series throughout the year, not just during Ramadan. How do you see the impact of this?
It can be said that the platforms have created a state of movement in the series industry, as the field has recently witnessed great development after many works proved successful outside the Ramadan drama season.
Did the success of the first part of the “Family Topic” series encourage you to participate in the second part?
The success achieved by the first part is one of the reasons for my presence in the second part of “A Family Topic”, and that when I read about my role in the series, it was not involved in the events, but rather woven naturally and with humor, and represented a real challenge for me that encouraged me to be in it, and indeed it was a good choice for me. After its presentation and the interaction the work received from the audience.
I was very concerned that there would be a comparison between the first part, which achieved great success, and the second part.
Work brings you together with actor Majed El-Kedwany. Tell us about the scenes of working with him?
Collaborating with him was very enjoyable, and I was very happy with him and working with the whole team, especially since he and director Ahmed El Gendy helped me quickly integrate into the work family, and this is what made me get into the character and interact with the work team faster, and thank God the character and the role came out well and he got it. How do you see the experience of working in a series of short episodes?
Certainly, it is an experience characterized by the fact that its events are quick, and therefore the creators of the work must attract the audience’s attention until the end so that they do not lose the viewer’s interest quickly. In this type of work, we find intense drama at the level of actions, events, emotions, and characters.
Is there a new job you are preparing for?
Currently, the movie “The House of the Ruby” has been released, which is a light social movie in which I present the character of a wife who suffers from a problem with childbearing, which causes her to get involved in many problems. The movie stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, and Tara Emad.
