Supreme Leader North Korea, Kim Jong-un, it is claimed that he is currently in a coma after last week handing over part of his authority to his younger sister, Kim Yo-jong.
As reported The Korea HeraldMonday (24/8), the claim was made by a former South Korean presidential adviser in the era of Kim Dae-jung’s leadership, Chang Song-min.
“I think he (Jong-un) is in a coma, but has not died. Until now there has been no structural change in the North Korean government that shows a change of leadership, so Kim Yo-jong who was asked to fill the void cannot be maintained for a long time, “said Chang.
Chang held the post of presidential political secretary and head of South Korean internal affairs oversight.
He said the transfer of part of authority from Kim Jong-un to Yo-jong was proof that the North Korean leader was currently incapable of carrying out his duties, allegedly due to his deteriorating health.
However, Chang said that until now Yo-jong has not been legally substituted for Jong-un.
Chang said North Korean leaders could hand over authority to others if they were seriously ill or had a coup. According to him, Jong-un’s decision to pass part of the authority to his younger brother proved that his condition to rule was hindered by some reason.
In addition, Chang said he had valid evidence from a number of intelligence sources in China that Kim Jong-un’s photos showing his recent activities were allegedly fabricated.
Kim Jong-un was reportedly in a coma and even died after being said to have undergone surgery last April. However, some time later photos released by the North Korean government showed Kim Jong-un still visiting a fertilizer factory construction project.
