Seoul, South Korea – The South Korean government said on Tuesday that suspicious activity had not been detected in its northern neighbor, after reports emerged that North Korean President Kim Jong Un was in poor health after heart surgery.
The presidential Blue House indicated that it could not confirm what Kim’s current state of health was. CNN had cited an unidentified US official who said the president was in “serious danger” after unspecified surgery. Later, another US official told the same network that Kim’s health concerns were credible, but it is difficult to assess whether he is serious or not.

Hours earlier, Daily NK quoted anonymous sources to report that Kim was recovering from heart surgery in Pyongyang and that her health was improving.
The conjectures about the president’s health began after he missed the celebration of his late grandfather and founder of the country Kim Il Sung on April 15, the most important holiday in North Korea.
