According to FNV, the steel group only makes vague commitments. However, the unions want a guarantee that there will be no redundancies.
The CNV union also calls for the drawing up of a sustainable future plan. For the time being, the union is willing to discuss further.
The steel concern in IJmuiden has been campaigning for job preservation for several weeks.
The conflict revolves around the position of the Dutch branch within the international group. The unions believe that too little is invested in IJmuiden.
