“No funds but continuity of the company and work on the territory”

AC srl communicated that Paolo Polegato acquired 50% of the shares from his brother Giorgio, becoming the sole owner.

The winery is known to the public above all for its brand of wines dedicated to the Ho.Re.Ca. channel, Astoria Wines. The change will take effect on October 31, 2021.

Paolo Polegato holds the presidency while Filippo Polegato, formerly a sales manager, will acquire the role of CEO.

“I decided to acquire Giorgio’s shares wanting to give continuity to the family tradition, since my brother has opted for a different life path. – says Paolo – I have not accepted offers from investment funds interested in entering the world of Prosecco because I prefer to continue the business path undertaken and favor the growth logic of the territory and the district over the purely financial ones of the funds.“.

“I will have my son Filippo and all the AC staff by my side, with whom we will be able to write new pages of this wonderful adventure. I respect Giorgio’s choice, even if I am sorry both from a human and professional point of view, I can only thank him and wish him new successes. – he declares – For AC the strategy will not change: In recent months, Filippo has worked closely with Giorgio to take the baton in the relationship with the suppliers and in the management of winemaking and purchases.“.

The financial advisor of the operation is the Adacta firm of Vicenza, while the legal advisors are the Maran law firm of Crocetta del Montello and the Antonio Pavan law firm.

AC’s numbers allow us to look to the future with optimism: turnover as of September 30th is up by 25% compared to 2020 and even higher than in the same period of 2019.

In addition, in mid-November, the new logistics center will be operational, expanding the Crocetta del Montello headquarters: an investment of over 12 million euros, for a new center of over 6 thousand square meters, which will allow for a single and more efficient management of orders, with a reduction of up to 40% in order processing times.
