While all the cooking fans were completely caught up in the show, they were surprised to see that the last chance would not be tonight. Here is what happened.
One last chance postponed until next week
Like any good episode of TOP CHEF, it should end on a nice last chance, full of suspense where a candidate leaves the program. This last week, this last chance promised to be great since it allowed an eliminated candidate to return to the program if he managed to be selected. And the fans of the show were waiting with a lot of hope the return of the sparkling Justine Piluso who was one of the candidates who could try again.
As the pasta competition with chefs Simone Zanoni and Alan Taudon came to an end, everyone was surprised by the credits for next week. Frustration was at its height, and Internet users were not asked to react.

M6 gives an explanation
Questioned by the HuffPost, Jérémy Guyot, director of communication at M6 explained why this episode was shortened :
We are having trouble right now putting together the program. We have fewer editors, fewer editing studios, the directors are also confined, so for the voiceovers it’s complicated. It takes longer to edit an entire episode.
As the filming of the show begins in September, viewers imagined that the current situation would spare TOP CHEF. Unfortunately, as other shows like Koh-Lanta, TOP CHEF is directly impacted and production does not have all the means available to continue editing.
The choice that has really been made is to try everything for everything, to really go to the end of the season and not to cut the broadcast. As much in relation to the viewers as in relation to the candidates.
We must therefore be content with shorter episodes rather than deleted episodes. Seen like that, the choice is quickly made! We will have to wait until next week to hope that Justine will join the show!
