The new Moskvich 6 cars appeared in dealerships in Russia last week, but at the same time they did not cause much excitement among buyers, and their demand is still zero, writes Autonews, reported Kaldata.com.
In one of the car showrooms, three people met the new Muscovites, but it turned out that they were not potential buyers, but customers who came to the service station and were just waiting for the repair of their cars to be completed. The situation is similar in two other car dealerships. The new liftbacks do not attract visitors at all.
“The cars have just arrived, there has been no advertising yet, we haven’t even had time to publish the sales ads, so potential customers probably don’t even know that the cars can already be bought,” said one manager of a Russian car showroom .
Another dealer confirmed that no one in his company has yet sold a single Moskvich-6, and the competitors can’t boast of anything special either:
“I really want to be the first, so if you decide, we will make you the most advantageous offer as the first customer,” the merchant promises, but does not specify what exactly this advantage will be.
The car is available in two versions (“Comfort” and “Business”) with a 1.5-liter engine with a turbocharger and a variator with a capacity of 136 hp. priced at 2,626,000 (about $27,000) and 2,826,000 rubles (about $29,000), respectively.
