The reason is that more and more municipalities have been offered dose one to all residents, and it has gone faster than the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) actually expected, writes VG.
– It seems that we will be up to 90 percent vaccine coverage for those over 18 during week 31. There are more and more municipalities that now report to us that they have already come this far, says infection control director Geir Bukholm in FHI to the newspaper.
The municipalities will therefore receive vaccines for dose two faster, and many Norwegians will not have to wait twelve weeks between dose one and dose two anyway.
– We can at least start up two weeks earlier. How early we finish depends on the vaccine deliveries in the future, says Bukholm.
