The decoronavirus epidemic continues to gain ground. In Niort, the hospital launched its white plan on Monday.
Emergency personnel recall if necessary
The white plan allows in particulart “the full mobilization of human and material resources of the hospital center, the recall of emergency personnel if necessary in view of the evolution of the Covid-19 epidemic situation“, specifies the CH of Niort in a press release.
It also provides for the deprogramming of all non-urgent surgical or medical activities. The objective is to “postpone any activity that would present more risks than benefits for vulnerable people, especially the elderly”. But also to expand the capabilities of the hospital “in resuscitation beds and in particular the creation of a specific unit for Covid-19 patients who do not require resuscitation”, continues the hospital.
Restricted visits
The Niort hospital specifies that visits to hospitalized patients are limited to a family referent (spouse or adult child) or to the support person. Prohibition of visits for minors and all those who show symptoms of respiratory infection.
Visits are prohibited in nursing homes, long-term care units, psycho-geriatrics as well as in the follow-up care and rehabilitation services.
For consultations, people whose appointment is scheduled in the coming days and who present symptoms (fever, cough, respiratory infection) are asked not to come and to postpone their appointment by informing the service .
