Nîmes Shooting: Five Young Men Injured in Drug-Related Violence

Shooting started on Tuesday night in Nîmes.

The events took place on Tuesday night, near the area Chemin Bas d’Avignon, known for drug dealing and score settling. Around 8:05 pm, the police were called after a shooting at Place Bully in Nîmes. When first responders arrived on scene shortly after the shooting, they found five people injured. The victims are five young men between 19 and 30 years old. All were transported to the Caremeau University Hospital Center in Nîmes.

“Three people were slightly injured by shrapnel, one was wounded in the calf, the fifth man, who was seriously injured in the lower limbs, was treated urgently without a life-threatening condition. The public prosecutor of Nîmes, Cécile Gensac, announced this Wednesday.

Vehicle found on fire

Several shell casings were found on the ground. A nearby night grocery store window was also affected.
