Jets-Quarterback Zach Wilson breathe easy After severe criticism of himself on social networks, the 23-year-old footballer deleted all of his social media channels. In the Jets’ training camp, he now explained that he no longer feels social media hatred.
“It’s a great way to unwind and my mind is 100 percent focused on what it needs to focus on,” Wilson said. “I’d rather spend my time with what my coaches are saying in the briefing room than with anything else.”
Zach Wilson: ‘I don’t scroll social media’
The 23-year-old, who is entering his second NFL season, wants to get back to his game and stop listening to the critics. Since Wilson played in the NFL, many Jets fans have harshly criticized his performance.
“When it comes to reading things, I never do that stuff. I don’t scroll through social media,” said Wilson, who will play the first NFL game of 2022-23 on Sept. 11 against the Ravens with his team becomes.-
Wilson left it open whether he would ever open his own account on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook again. Definitely not in the near future. “You always have people who say don’t look at social media,” says Wilson, who thinks that’s a good thing.
Wilson’s rookie season in the NFL with a sobering record
“There’s good and there’s bad. For me, it just boils down to taking care of what’s really important. Right now, I’m listening to my coaches and other quarterbacks what they have to say – and my teammates what they have to say think about every move.”
Wilson’s record of his first season is sobering. In 13 games as a rookie, he won only three times and lost ten games. Wilson threw 213 passes from 383 attempts for 2,334 yards, nine touchdowns and had 11 interceptions.
