Neymar and Mbappé had a playhouse against Bordeaux

Paris Saint-Germain is the superior league leader in Ligue 1 and at the moment there is not much to suggest that the French big club will not win the league title this season.

On Saturday night, an away meeting with Bordeaux awaited. In Lionel Messi’s absence, the focus was on Neymar and Kylian Mbappé – and the spectators were not disappointed.

After just under half an hour played, Neymar gave PSG the lead with 0-1, played by Mbappé. Just before the halftime break, it was time again, and once again it was Mbappé who played the Brazilian superstar who was able to extend the lead.

After the break, it was Kylian Mbappé’s turn to enter the goal record when the 22-year-old shot in 0-3. PSG were on their way to a comfortable away win, but then Bordeaux woke up to life.

Alberth Elis reduced and in overtime Mbaye Niang scored the home side’s second goal – but no closer than that came Bordeaux. PSG eventually won the match 3-2, thus consolidating their position as number one in Ligue 1.

Bordeaux is firmly at the bottom of the table and is currently in 16th place with twelve points after 13 games played.
