Next year, the number of municipalities will change

“As soon as the final results of the national population census become known, the optimization of the number of municipalities in Bulgaria will begin. The change of municipalities itself will take place during this and next years,” PP DEPUTY Jordan Terziysky said in “since the day” on BNT. According to him, without the optimization of municipalities, it will not be possible to implement the decentralization process, which is laid down in the coalition agreement of the ruling.

Terziysky also commented on the new state budget, which, according to him, is timely, taking into account the political situation and the goals of clarifying the economy. The MP also said that the budget of the MRRB is 2.5 billion. this will allow the development of infrastructure. Funds for the construction and repair of roads are included in the financial program, and this will stop the vicious practice when money for this purpose will be given out by the government from excess.

“The construction of Am Hemus, like Struma, continues, but the problem is not in money, but in projects,” the MP explained. According to him, the promises made by the previous leadership were not backed up by a real strategy for the construction of road arteries.

“In the National Strategy ” Road infrastructure ” from 2016, the validity period is until 2022.”it is not envisaged at all that Hemus will be built in 2022. All the promises that we have heard in recent years that Hemus will be ready by 2024 are unrealistic,” he explained.

“The state is currently trapped in an economic and legal trap, with these contracts under in-house procedures, as well as the assignment of highways to subcontractors with contracts for the supply of materials and equipment,” Terziysky said.

Currently, a legal analysis of contracts is being carried out. When the analysis is ready, a decision will be made on how to proceed further.
