One of the five most wanted drug dealers by the Espírito Santo police, Marcela Ferreguete, 23, surrendered herself at the request of her 6-year-old son this Sunday (6). She had been on the run for a year and is suspected of leading drug trafficking in Santa Teresa, in the Serrana region of the state.
Marcela said that she ‘fell for real’ and decided to give herself up. “I lived in a world of illusion and I was tired of running away. I felt like garbage”, said the woman in an interview with TV Gazeta. She had passages for drug trafficking and association with drug trafficking.
Despite saying that she turned herself in, the Civil Police reported that she was taken by the Military Police to the Cariacica Regional Police Station.
In addition to the 6-year-old son who would have asked his mother to give herself up, Marcela has three other children, the youngest being nine months old. “I’m going to start everything from scratch after I leave there. I will take care of my children, ”she said.
Marcela was at the Legal Medical Department (DML) in Vitória to undergo tests, before being sent to the Women’s Prison Center in Cariacica this Monday (7).
