Instead, from the 2022-23 season, the majority of Swiss League clubs promote the idea of letting the National League loser be relegated directly to the Swiss League, while the 2nd division champion would be promoted directly to the 1st division.
The assembly of the league, composed of representatives of the National League and Swiss League clubs, is expected to meet, discuss and vote on this and other matters in mid-June, unless a special meeting is to be called more quickly.
