Peter Bosz threatens to lose Bruno Guimarães halfway through the season at Olympic Lyon. Newcastle United has made a formal offer for the Brazilian international, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports.
The Magpies are eagerly looking for reinforcements and have 40 million euros left for Guimarães. Lyon is considering the proposal. The 24-year-old midfielder is a mainstay in Bosz’s team. This season he played twenty matches in the League 1, in which he provided four assists. Les Gones bought him two years ago for twenty million from Club Athletico Paranaense.
Newcastle seems to want to trump Arsenal among others. According to Sky Sports kept The Gunners, who were already interested two years ago, take into account a transfer fee of thirty million. Clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Juventus are also keeping an eye on Guimãraes. He still has a contract until mid-2024.
