Videos and photos showing goalkeeper actions Newcastle Nick Pope when he made a ridiculous blunder when his team faced Liverpool went viral on social media.

Not only did Newcastle lose 0-2 to Liverpool in the Premier League 2022/2023 continued match which was held at the St. James Park, Newcastle, on Sunday (19/2) in the morning WIB.

However, Newcastle’s defeat was also marked by ridiculous blunders by goalkeeper Nick Pope which went viral on social media.

In the 22nd minute, Newcastle had to play with 10 players. That was after Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope got a red card. Pope got a red card after making a ridiculous blunder.

This situation started from Liverpool’s counterattack. Initially Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson fired a shot from goal into the Newcastle defense area to send a direct pass to Mohamed Salah.

Alisson did that after he saw Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope appear to be standing far from his goal. Pope was at a loss to get an ‘air attack’ from Alisson.

Pope also had to do a duel against Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah who tried to reach Alisson’s bait.

Pope then tried to head the ball but missed, and strangely he instead caught the ball far outside the Newcastle penalty box.

As a result of deliberately catching the ball outside the penalty box, Pope also received a red card from the referee.

In this match, Liverpool took the lead in the 10th minute through Darwin Nunez’s goal after continuing Trent Alexander Arnold’s pass.

Seven minutes later Liverpool were able to score their second goal through Cody Gakpo. After conceding two goals, Newcastle also played more openly.

Unfortunately, Newcastle’s efforts to catch up were rather difficult after they lost their flagship goalkeeper, Nick Pope.

The advantage in the number of players made Liverpool appear calmer. In the 57th minute Liverpool got a good chance through Darwin Nunez’s kick.

Unfortunately, Darwin Nunez’s shot towards the bottom corner of the Newcastle goalpost on the left was still pushed over by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the 87th and 89th minutes, Diogo Jota’s headers twice were able to endanger the Newcastle goal. Unfortunately, the header is still not right on target.

Until the game ended the score was 2-0 for Liverpool’s victory did not change. This win moved Liverpool up to eighth in the Premier League standings.
