New York Giants’ DeAndre Baker surrendered to police

New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker has decided to turn himself over to Florida law enforcement after facing four charges of armed robbery and as many charges of aggravated assault with a firearm.

It was the athlete’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, who made the announcement on his Instagram account.

Baker and Seattle Seahawks player Quinton Dunbar were actively wanted by police for stealing money and several property from people at the same party as them last Wednesday night in the town of Miramar.

Dunbar has yet to surrender to authorities, however. He faces four charges of armed robbery.

During this party, a chicane would have made so that Baker seizes a semi-automatic weapon and that he then orders the people present to give him their wallets and their watches. Dunbar allegedly helped him seize the stolen material.

According to the TMZ website, a witness at the scene told police officers that the NFL athletes tried to recover after losing more than US $ 70,000 in several card games held in the previous days.

Lawyers for Baker and Dunbar, however, said on Friday that they had heard testimony that would prove the athletes did not commit the crimes.
